Last home game of the season

Last home game of the season

For the last home game of the season, we held a community day in Kilballyowen to celebrate the 150th anniversary of IrishRugby and to say farewell to Micheál, our fantastic president for the last two years. ☘️

Thank you to our incredible volunteers who helped with the coffee dock, the BBQ, selling raffle tickets and organising the balloons, decorations and bunting for the club. The grounds were immaculate. To Anna Gleeson our fantastic face painting artist and to our u16 girls who assisted with the kids disco. Thank you to the fabulous Aine who brought out the match day ball to our officials. πŸ‰
As soon as the final whistle was blown, we headed straight for the clubhouse where we had Jamie Walsh on the big screen playing for the Irish U18s six nations squad. Congratulations Jamie, you should be incredibly proud of your achievements. β˜˜οΈπŸ’š

Not long after, we welcomed back our u14 team who were crowned Pan Munster Champions that day!! The atmosphere in the clubhouse was electric. We danced the night away thereafter with the incredible Alan GubbinsπŸ†πŸŽΈ

We had many heartwarming speeches as we said farewell to our president Micheál, clips will be shared on our social media very soon! πŸŽ€πŸŽ™οΈ

It was an incredible day for anyone involved in Bruff RFC and the celebrations continued for weeks to come as we held an underage community day for our minis, with games, tug of war, ice-cream vans, kids discos, face painting and more. Pictures can be seen on our Facebook and Instagram accounts. The following week our senior women’s team were crowned Munster Division 2 Cup Champions in their second year, creating a pathway and beginning a legacy for the generations of underage girls teams we have coming up through the ranks. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ’›

Community is at the heart of everything we do in Bruff RFC, and long may it continue for many more years to come.
