Making history… hopefully the first of many trophies for bruff senior women’s team over the years to come.
A fantastic display of rugby with the score finishing out 22-15. Tries x2 for Ava Downes, Eilis Dennehy and Blaithin O’Connor with Shauna Pearson kicking the conversions off the tee. After losing out 76-12 to Clonakilty a couple of weeks ago the ladies knew they had a tough task ahead but put in a phenomenal effort to win our first cup. Huge thanks to Clonakilty RFC for a fantastic game, an incredible game to watch for the neutral spectator, not good for the heart 😅
In only our second season this win meant a lot to us. We would like to dedicate this to one of our coaches Joe Kelly who we lost a few months ago. He is the reason many of the players are here today and by god would he have loved every second of that final. We hope you are looking down on us with pride of the legacy you’ve built💛
